To Our Baldwin Panther Family:

Baldwin Community Schools will be closed Thursday, August 26th and Friday, August 27th due to the student absence rate.  Our attendance rate is below the required 75% level required by the State to count as an instructional day.

The absence rate is due to some students being quarantined but primarily due to flu-like illness.  At this time we have one student and one staff member that have tested positive for COVID-19, both are quarantined.

We are unable to offer virtual classes at this time as the Verizon devices we purchased for those who do not have internet service were recalled. We do not know when we will receive replacements from Verizon.

We understand your concerns and we will keep you up-dated as more information becomes available to us.

We will return to school on Monday, August 30th to in person learning.
